APA Incorporate proudly celebrates a significant professional milestone as three of its co-founders have been officially recognized and registered as ASEAN Architects (AA) by the ASEAN Architects Council (AAC).
The recognition was formally presented during the ASEAN Architect Certificate Awarding Ceremony held on 18 June 2026 at the Main Conference Hall of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport. The event honored 23 Lao architects who successfully achieved ASEAN Architect status, marking an important advancement for the architectural profession in the Lao PDR.
Among the distinguished recipients were APA Incorporate’s co-founders:
🔹 Ar. Vongphai BOUNMANEE
🔹 Ar. Phonevanida BOUNMANEE
🔹 Ar. Ounheuan MALAY
Their registration as ASEAN Architects reflects years of professional dedication, technical expertise, and commitment to maintaining high standards of architectural practice. The recognition serves as a testament to their qualifications and contributions to the development of architecture in Lao PDR and the wider ASEAN region.
The ASEAN Architect (AA) designation is awarded under the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA), a regional framework that facilitates professional mobility and collaboration among architects across ASEAN member countries. This qualification enables architects to expand their professional services, participate in cross-border projects, and contribute to the advancement of the built environment throughout the region.
For APA Incorporate, this achievement represents more than an individual professional accomplishment. It reflects the firm's ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation, and internationally recognized professional standards. The recognition of its co-founders further strengthens APA Incorporate’s ability to deliver high-quality architectural services while fostering greater regional cooperation and knowledge exchange.
As the architectural profession in Lao PDR continues to evolve, the recognition of these ASEAN Architects demonstrates the growing capability of Lao professionals to contribute meaningfully to the regional and global architectural community. APA Incorporate remains committed to supporting the advancement of architecture, promoting sustainable design, and creating positive impacts through professional excellence.
APA Incorporate extends its warmest congratulations to all 23 Lao architects who have achieved ASEAN Architect status and wishes them continued success in shaping the future of architecture across ASEAN.
